Description

Composite materials based on aramid fibers have proven themselves in aircraft construction, shipbuilding and space technology. Clothing for hot production is unthinkable without the use of aramid fabrics. The boundaries of using these wonderful materials are constantly expanding. Manufacturers are especially proud of the use of aramid in the manufacture of body armor and helmets. Fully comply with GOST 11209-2014 - when in contact with an open fire, they do not burn, do not smolder for 30 seconds. Specific surface electrical resistance no more than 107 Ohm. The exceptional strength of the fabrics ensures that the suits can be used in the most difficult conditions. Oil-oil-water-repellent properties remain after 25 industrial washes / dryers.
Aramid yarns, which, when stretched, show high values of specific strength (from 1.3 GPa) and modulus of elasticity (from 50 GPa) are commonly called super-strong and high-modulus. The properties of these threads make it possible to manufacture textiles and fibrous composite materials of increased strength from them with a low specific weight (about 2 g / cm). The reason for the high strength of these threads is the high ordering of the structure. It is especially important to have information about the breaking strength during the operation of slings, cables, because it is these products that are subjected to colossal loads during their use, and they are made of aramid thread.
The relevance of my work is to pay special attention to the need to study the processes of tissue abrasion. In order to improve the safety and strength properties of these materials. Since it directly depends on the life and health of a person, if these tissues are used in extreme and emergency situations.
Aramids have some common properties that distinguish them favorably over other fibers:
- high strength,
- good resistance to abrasion,
- good resistance to organic solvents,
- lack of electrical conductivity,
- no melting point,
- low flammability,
- good indicators of maintaining the integrity of the fabric in conditions of high temperatures.
The aim of this work is to evaluate the tensile strength of fabrics made of aramid threads.
Work tasks:
- study of the structure and structure of aramid fabrics,
- a description of the physical nature of the processes of tissue rupture,
- study the development procedure and structure of the STO (TU),
- to investigate the physical and mechanical properties of tissues.
Currently, in the funds of regulatory documents there are standards for abrasion of threads, describing several different methods for determining abrasion resistance, including GOST 29104.17-91. However, a literature review showed that there are currently no developed standards for rupture of aramid tissues.
The scope and assortment of aramid fabrics are steadily expanding, the range of properties of this group of fabrics being studied is growing, and therefore the need to develop standards for testing methods for certain properties is gradually indicated. Since the analysis of the standards existing in the regulatory fund showed that at this point in time there are only standards that address the issues of abrasive rupture of tissues.
